Resorts in Hokkaido are seeking Qualified Ski (not snowboard) Instructors to work either 2 months (early-December ~ end-January) or 3 months (early December ~ end-February). No Japanese ability is required (though true beginners will need to take our Language Course)

Job Details
Wage: 1000yen (if no qualification), 1300yen (level 1), up to 1500yen (level 2/3 qualification) before tax per hour.
Work Load: 5-6hrs per day, 3-5 days per week (10-15 days off per month. Resorts are looking to guarantee a minimum of 30 days (for 2-month contracts), and 38 days (for 3-month contracts) of ski instructing - exact numbers will be advised in Tentative job offers. Additional work in alternate positions (lift, room-making, dish-washing) can be available to those who express an interest to participate in "Additional duties".
NOTE: While Resorts do their best to give you as much work as possible, weather conditions and customer fluctuations can impact on the regularity of work. So please understand there may be more/less time off than detailed above.
Typical day: 9:00am - 4:00pm.
Contact teaching hours: 2-4 hrs teaching per day (including preparation and cleaning up comes to about 6 hours per day).
Meal deduction: 1000yen per day (3 meals).
Salary: approx. ¥80,000 ~ 145,000 (before tax and meals deductions) per month.
NOTE: While these particular positions in Hokkaido offer a potentially higher salary (but fewer hours), there are also other Ski Instructor positions in Nagano / Shiga-kogen etc. which offer the standard Resort jobs salary (approx. ¥120,000 (before tax) per month).
Morning Preparation:
Primary duties include briefly sweeping your ski
school each morning.
Regular Duties:
Taking customer details (name, address, contact
numbers) who wish to join ski classes. Helping
customers organize rental equipment if required.
Each day usually consists of 2 by 2 hour lessons. Outside
of the lessons, you may be required to help ski
rental with equipment preparation or collection
at the end of the day, or other various duties.
A good job for both true beginners and intermediates to learn Japanese in Japan.
Additional Duties:
Greeting customers with a nice smile and a friendly
'hello'.
